Christ UMC invites the Corridor District to a performance by the Bethune-Cookman University (BCU) Inspirational Gospel Choir (IGC) on March 4. This event will begin at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. During this event, you can expect to hear BCU IGC perform a wide range of music, including rock & jazzy gospel, contemporary & blues gospel, and a cappella renditions. 

The choir’s membership is composed entirely of students and is considered an extracurricular activity in which students pay all expenses themselves, as it has since its founding in 1969. BCU IGC currently has a CD, “Songs of Inspiration,” featuring some of the hottest contemporary gospel hits. Some members write their own music, which the choir has adopted.

This HBCU from Daytona Beach, Florida, is stopping at Christ United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as part of their 2026 Spring Break Tour to provide a free performance!
