Eco-Justice for N.C. Churches

Posted on

Through the new initiative Sacred Land, Air, and Water, your congregation has a unique opportunity to engage deeply with the sacred duty of environmental stewardship.

The North Carolina Council of Churches, in partnership with JustFaith Charlotte, is bringing a series of impactful, small-group eco-justice programs to churches across our state. These programs, developed by JustFaith Ministries, focus on crucial aspects of environmental sustainability and justice:

Key Details:

  • Group Size: Recommended for 7-12 members to foster intimate and meaningful discussions.
  • Facilitator Support: A facilitator is required, but no prior expertise is necessary. JustFaith Ministries provides extensive support to ensure a smooth and enriching experience
  • Program Flexibility: These programs can integrate seamlessly into existing Bible studies or be the foundation for a new small group, accommodating all levels of familiarity with eco-justice principles.

Due to the generosity of a grant through the Gaston Community Foundation, we are able to offer our eco-justice programs FREE to the first 200 participants of North Carolina churches! To bring the program to your congregation today, contact Kate Dennstaedt at [email protected] or 704-412-8458 for more information.

Thank you for your dedication to faith and justice. We look forward to partnering with you to honor and protect our sacred land, air, and water.
