- Bible Study – You’re invited to join a Bible study on “Climate Justice: A Call to Hope and Action” at the time and place that works best for you. Zoom options are available. Here is the current status of scheduling:
- In-person:
- Mt. Sylvan: Thursdays at 7 pm starting Sept. 14,
- Six:Eight Church: Sundays at 5:30 pm starting Sept. 17 at the home of Dorrell and Tracy Briscoe, 3605 Appling Way, Durham. Participants are asked to bring something to share for a meal before the study begins.
- FUMC-Graham: Sundays at 4 pm starting Sept 24, in person. Register here.

- Worship Service – Mt. Sylvan UMC is hosting a district-wide worship service at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 17. DS Mike Frese and Rev. Steve Murphy are preaching.
- Creation Care Challenge — Your Creation Care Team challenges every church in the Corridor District to do at least one thing to grow creation care discipleship in your church. Contact co-chairs Rev. Jane Almon or Thomas Givens for ideas, or subscribe to Tips from the UM Creation Justice Movement.
- Eco-Mission Training at Lake Junaluska– September 22-24 Learn to lead mission trips that incorporate community culture, economy, and ecology and do repair work. Two nights lodging and meals, $75. Register here by September 1.
- Advocacy Events – Join Rev. Keith Sexton and other lay and clergy advocates in Zoom meetings with key US House legislative aides to express environmental concerns from the church’s perspective.
