There are signs everywhere these days of United Methodists loving God and neighbor through acts of care for people and the planet, from local churches planting pollinator gardens and installing solar panels to Bishop Shelton drinking from a reusable tumbler on stage at the Annual Conference. In the Corridor District alone, the list of ways churches are working proactively to protect our communities from the consequences of extreme weather events, plastic and air pollution, and other mistreatments of God’s creation is way too long to include here. Here are some opportunities for learning more about creation care in the UMC. Register now to help your church become part of this movement to love God and neighbor through holistic care for people and the environment we live in.
