Understanding how racism works is the key to breaking down barriers that interfere with best intentions. In her book Waking Up White, Debby Irving tells the story of how she went from well-meaning to well-doing, unpacking her own long held beliefs about color blindness, being a good person, and wanting to help people of color. We are excited to announce that Debby will be hosting workshops on Friday and Saturday this month. Come join us at this event exploring the impact white skin can have on perception, problem solving and engaging in racial justice work.
Friday’s workshop will be free to attend and general admission on Saturday will be $25 to cover a light breakfast and lunch. Click here to register. For questions, contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 919-828-6501.
