“COME . . . PREPARE YOUR HEARTS!”
You are invited to join us on Saturday, November 23rd, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Wesley Room for a time of quiet preparation as we reflect on the meaning and magnitude of the Advent season. We will ponder the incredible grace-filled gift of the birth of our Savior and talk about “how” we want to prepare for that gift as we lean into the darkness and busyness of this Advent season. Together we will experience a themed presentation, scripture reading, silence, reflection, and sacred sharing. We will conclude our time together with a simple meal around the table and the joy of fellowship.
Check-in with light refreshments will begin at 8:45 a.m. on the 23rd. You are asked to wear comfortable clothes (perhaps a light sweater if you tend to get cold) and bring the following items with you:
~ Notebook or Journal and pen
~ Bible (for your personal use, if desired)
~ a small bowl/dish that has a story or memory you are willing to share
In order to prepare adequately for all who will be in attendance, you are asked to
pre-register by Tuesday, November 19th. Contact the church office (919.477.0509) or Barbara Atkinson at firstname.lastname@example.org to pre-register.
